Well to say the least 2020 was definitely a year most of us want to forget. But overall it made us remember that the most important thing in our lives is family. We all live busy lives we work and run with our kids we forgot what family time meant n for me I especially needed family time. With a son that suffers from depression this was the year we found help. You know I always say everything happens for a reason n before covid we found help for my son n each day he is getti...ng better . With that I want to say thank you to that beautiful lady that I call an angel that walked into my salon before covid and helped us.I don’t usually talk about my family life on Facebook but I just want everyone to know that family is who will always be there for you. Besides my family I’m truly blessed to have my work family and I would love to shout out to them. Thank you guys for always putting up with me. You been there for so much especially when it came to my son again there wouldn’t be Almas without my beautiful work family. During these covid times we have completely cleaned, sterilized and painted both salons, purchased all the necessary PPE and are prepared to follow strict provincial & federal guidelines when we do reopen .We are ready to service all your hair & aesthetic needs as soon as we are given the permission to reopen . We will make even effort to get you all in as soon as possible . We are not currently taking any appointment bookings as we do not have a confirmed date of reopeni...ng as of yet but rest assured all precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of both our staff & clients . Dear Clients, Thanks for all of your patience in the last 9 weeks! (Wow, has it really been that long!!??) I just wanted to let you know that although our protocols have been released to us by The Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia, the Government has not yet given a specific date for when we are allowed to open up for business. We are in the process of preparing the salon for your, and our safety now. There will be some new normals to get used to in the salon setting. ...Face masks will be required by clients and staff. And in some circumstances staff will also be wearing face shields. This is not to intimidate, but is for everyones protection, because we are in such close contact. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable when they are at their appointment. We also will not be able to double book clients like we have in the past, so please continue to be patient, as we will get everyone rescheduled as quickly and efficiently as possible. Niagara Falls illuminated blue and white to honour the victims of the tragic incident that took place this past weekend in Nova Scotia.

Sydney's waterfront is blue tonight for NOVA SCOTIA. In honour of those whose lives were lost, and those who risked their lives. They will never be forgotten. Pictured are Constables Mike Jones and Liam MacKinnon at Sydney's iconic fiddle. On the Esplande, the firefighters at Sydney Station One raised their ladder truck and the Council Chamber on the Esplande shines on the harbour.
